HOW IT WORKS

HOW IT WORKS

Let us help you achieve beautiful Fall flower beds.
Follow our 3 easy steps to no-contact delivery of flowers, soil, mulch and fertilizer.

Green-1-2

MEASURE YOUR FLOWER BED

First, take an accurate measurement of your flower beds and pots.  We recommend planting flowers on a diagonal pattern no more than 8” apart.  Each flat of flowers contains 18 individual 4” flower pots.  When planted 8” apart, each flat will cover approximately 7 square feet.

If that math sounds complicated, don’t worry!  We have two ways to help you figure this out ~ a Calculator and a Grid chart.

FLOWERS

At this time, we are offering pansies and violas for planting in October and November.
Pansies have a large, bright flower and generally perform best in sunny areas.
Violas have a smaller flower but more flowers per plant helping to create a carpet of color. Violas are more shade tolerant than pansies.

SOIL

We recommend a mix of planting soil and mushroom compost to build your perfect flower beds.

FERTILIZER

Adding a granular fertilizer to your prepared bed will provide the necessary nutrients to help your flowers thrive throughout the growing season.  A repeat application fertilizer is recommended 3 months after first planting your beds.

MULCH

A topping of mulch not only neatly defines your flower beds, but helps reduce soil compaction and prevent the growth of weeds.

TOOLS

We also offer an assortment of hand tools to help you build and prepare your beds.
